We wish to bring to your notice that, the release day for the consumer price index (CPI) and producer price index (PPI) has been changed from Fridays to Wednesdays. The change was necessitated by the fact that, after the release on Friday the two proceeding days are weekends, where virtually no discussions on the information released go on.
The target release date of the monthly newsletter for CPI is 15th of the month. Because of the change in the day, it will be released on the second Wednesday of each month, and on the third, when the 15th of the month falls on Wednesday.
For the PPI, the target release date of the monthly newsletter will now be the last Wednesday on or before the 28th day of the month.
