  The Producer Price Index (PPI) for Ghana, which measures the average change over time in the prices received by domestic producers for the production of their goods and services, shows that the all industry index inched up 1.39 per cent in the month of June 2007, after it edged up 3.20 per cent in May, 2007. The manufacturing index climbed 2.54 per cent, whilst the utility index did not show any change. The mining index on the other hand dropped 4.90 per cent (table 1).
